William and Kate in Lego royal wedding in Manchester
To celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton, four UK Lego fans have built a giant 1m x 2.5m scale replica of Westminster Abbey.
With this ring, I thee wed: The bride and groom figures were created specially in Denmark for the royal replica. A model of Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams conducts the ceremony.
The 60kg model features 200 different Lego elements with nearly 1,000 arches. Transparent bricks were used to create the Abbey's famous stained glass windows.
More than 180,000 bricks were used. The congregation of nearly 400 guests includes miniature members of the Royal Family.
The impressive model took eight weeks to construct. Here, the photographer's son Charlie Meatheringham, six, admires the attention to detail.
The four builders, from Portsmouth, are all members of the Brickish Assocation, a group made up Adult Fans of Lego (AFOL).
The structure goes on display at the Lego Show at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Manchester (30 April - 2 May) before going on tour.
